New Hire Roundup: U.S. Bank Adds Felchle, Ernst

Also, Jill Cohen joined Salient and Morningstar named Gail Landis to its board of directors.

Steve Felchle, Jason Ernst Join U.S. Bancorp Investments

U.S. Bancorp Investments, an affiliate of U.S. Bank, announced recently that Steve Felchle and Jason Ernst have joined as financial advisors in Bismarck, N.D.

Felchle brings more than 33 years of financial industry experience to his new post. Before joining, he was a financial advisor for Wells Fargo. Prior to that, he served as vice president of business and agricultural banking for Norwest Bank.

Ernst brings more than 11 years of experience to his new role. Before joining, he was a financial advisor for Wells Fargo.

David Skaggs Named Wealth Management Advisor for Private Client Reserve

U.S. Bank Wealth Management announced Monday that David Skaggs has been appointed wealth management advisor for The Private Client Reserve of U.S. Bank in St. Louis, Mo.

Skaggs has more than 20 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, with a background in commercial credit, private banking and investment services. Before joining, he was president of Entech Engineering, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company and new client relationships. He also worked for J.P. Morgan as a senior capital advisor and private banker. Prior to that, Skaggs held positions with National City Bank and Missouri State Bank and Royal Banks of Missouri. He began his career with Bank of America.

Salient Welcomes Jill Cohen

Salient Partners has added Jill Cohen as a director of institutional sales. In this role, her focus will be on delivering Salient’s investment products to institutional investors including corporate and public pensions, consultants, foundations and endowments, and institutional family offices. She is based in the New York office.

Cohen previously spent nearly five years at Citigroup, where she was a director within prime brokerage and also served as head of the capital introductions team for the Americas. Prior to that, she held several senior roles on the buy side, and most notably served as a partner with MPM Capital.

Morningstar Adds Gail Landis to Board

Morningstar announced that Gail Landis has been selected to serve on its board of directors.

Landis was one of four founding partners of Evercore Asset Management, where she was responsible for all business development, client service and marketing. Earlier, she was head of Americas distribution for Credit Suisse Asset Management. She also held positions at Sanford C. Bernstein and Co. and its successor company, AllianceBernstein, as an equity analyst and senior portfolio manager before establishing the company’s consultant relations department.
