Deregulate the pill

Could Republicans make the necessary gains needed to win the female vote by following Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal in his support of having birth control made available to women over the counter? Such a move would certainly drive down costs for individuals and for government subsidized health care plans while lowering the abortion rate. Republicans, who hold individual rights so sacred, may want to check and see if one tenet of their dear philosophy can translate over to women’s reproductive health.
