Antibiotics could cure 40% of chronic back pain patients

Individuals suffering from chronic, debilitating back pain may be able to find relief without surgery. Danish scientists, over the course of 10years, have concluded that 20percent to 40 percent of lower back pain is caused by bacterial infections where surgery cannot help. Some scientists feel that the breakthrough is so huge that a Nobel Prize is in order. The finding will also substantially lower health care costs.
