The effects of the sequestration are hitting the military just when America has been talking nonstop about its pivot to the Pacific. The pivot, meant to intimidate an imperious China and to threaten a reckless North Korea while reassuring our allies in the East will not achieve any of its goals if all interested parties are aware that the American military is having its funding undercut by Congress and the Whitehouse.
