The National Review responds to a New York Times report on Sunday that dove into the tax code and how lobbying firms employ former aides of Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., who chairs the committee that shapes the tax code, in order to preserve their favored treatment in the form of subsidies. But some of what the Times proposes eliminating will barely scrape the surface.
