Scientists track leukemia’s origins ‘back to the womb’

The most common cancer in children and a killer of over 100 a year in the UK can be traced back to the womb. Scientists studied the development of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in twins and concluded that a common leukemia causing gene is most likely shared via placental blood circulation.
