More than seven in ten Canadian investors want the expertise of a financial professional to help them manage their investments, new research shows.
BMO Financial Group, Toronto, arrives at this conclusion in a summary of results from a survey of Canadian investors. The online survey was conducted by Pollara with a sample of 1,000 Canadians adults, between November 22nd and November 27th, 2012.
The report reveals that 73 per cent of Canadian investors want investment advice, including counsel on buying and selling securities and ensuring their portfolios are well diversified. Also, nearly six in ten of the respondents (57 percent) would like advice but want to have the final say on recommendations.
