Michael Porter, who teaches at Harvard’s schools of medicine, public health, government and business, and he has some interesting things to say about how to fix the health care system. For starters, the issue isn’t getting more insurance to more people — which PPACA did — but the issue is getting more value for every health care dollar spent. And that will require a wholesale restructuring “of revolutionary proportions” in how health care organizations, doctors and nurses work together.
