These sweet moustaches made 2012 a record-breaker for cancer-crushing campaign

If you’ve spent any time on a social network over the past thirty days, you’re likely well aware of the Movember campaign, a cleverly branded awareness event that raises money for men’s health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer. Movember is unique among awareness months because it’s both fun (check out the witty official site that doesn’t fail to convey the importance of fundraising) and easy to participate in (what guy doesn’t want to take a month off from shaving?) In 2012, Movember participants jumped to a record 1,122,000, an increase of more than 250,000 from the previous year. Across the world, these folks brought in some serious dough: Spencer Reynolds, the No. 1 international fundraiser, raised a whopping $71,026.
