Want to know where the housing recovery is taking off? Follow the money. Home prices are rising in the communities where it was already expensive to buy. At least 10 cities had average listing prices that exceeded $1.2 million in the first six months of this year. All but two of those cities — Kailua, Hawaii, and Rye, N.Y. — are located on the California coast.
