Hospital Medicare cash lures doctors as costs increase

Because of reimbursement reform efforts, Medicare now pays hospital cardiologists more for some procedures than it pays cardiologists with private practices, and health policy specialists say hospital-owned practices have an easier time bargaining for higher payments from private health insurers.
