Note-taking has by and large been a solitary activity to catalog information. In the electronic age, note-taking is changing not just in the way it’s done, but also who can participate. Notes new and old are turning electronic allowing group collaboration and easy dissemination. It’s doubtful John Hancock ever thought his notes would be available to the masses 200 years later, but they are via high-resolution scans.
