Slightly more Americans say they feel financially better off today than a year ago, rather than worse off. Yet that seemingly good news has to be tempered a bit: the percentage is barely a third38 percentand it’s not a grand leap from the 34 percent charted in the previous Gallup survey. But those results can hearten President Obama. The more upbeat Americans are, the more likely they are to reelect the incumbent president.
