A recent Wells Fargo study indicates that political party affiliation does have an impact on how an individual views retirement planning. Generally speaking, Democrats prefer that the government takes a stronger role in in how one saves for retirement, while Republicans consider it a personal responsibility. However, whether a Democratic or Republican, Americans do not want their Social Security income cut as way of out the country’s debt crisis.
