Obama and Romney: Middle class promises will be hard to keep

Barack Obama and Mitt Romney seem to be agreeing that taxpayers who earn less than $250,000 per year are in the middle class. CNNMoney says that expansive definition could interfere with efforts by either candidate to lower the deficit, maintain middle-class households’ benefits, and maintain or lower the current tax rates for middle-class households all at the same time.
