As U.S. Supreme Court opens, all eyes on Chief Justice Roberts

The U.S. Supreme Court has now started its 2012-2013 term. The court already has agreed to look at a university affirmative action case, and it could take up appeals of cases involving issues such as gay rights and voting rights. For some court watchers, the most urgent question is still, “What was Chief Justice John Roberts really thinking this summer when he voted to uphold the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act?”
