Wells Fargo Advisors (WFC) said late Wednesday that it hired a former Citi/Smith Barney manager and promoted two WFA executives to new posts.
Eduardo (“Eddie”) Queen is now a strategy director for WFA, which has 15,170 advisors and 3,200 licensed bankers. In this role, Queen will oversee efforts to develop and improve business strategies.
“I’ve always respected Wells Fargo Advisors and what it’s been able to accomplish,” said Queen (left) in an interview with AdvisorOne. “Overall, my job is to help the management team meet the priorities of the business, think these priorities through for the long term and realize how it can best execute them.”
Queen joined Citigroup (C) in 2005 to work in the wealth management area. He then focused on a new mass-affluent business within Smith Barney from 2006 to 2009 and then returned to work in Citi’s wealth management business after the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney merger.
