Maybe we should pity millionaires. Many don’t feel rich even though it puts them in the top 7% of Americans. Blame sky-high housing prices and the rising cost of their kids’ college education for their less than sanguine outlook. The fact is, $1 million doesn’t buy what it once did even a decade ago. But if you manage to save $1 million for retirement, you might just have enough to be comfortable.
