CSC announced the 2012 winners of their third annual Connect for Life and Annuity Awards at the ceremony for their conference of the same name in New Orleans today.
CSC, Falls Church, VA., a technology and business solutions provider for the financial services industry used its client community to nominate and select the winners of the awards. Awards categories include: policy administration; information technology; customer experience and social networking. There is also an award for overall industry leadership.
John Hancock Financial Services, a unit of Manulife Financial Corporation won the overall Industry Leadership Award for the upgrading work it did on its VANTAGE-ONE and Distribution Support System mainframe environments to a zLinsux distributed platform.
Pacific Life Insurance Company, Newport Beach Calif., received the Leadership in Policy Administration Award. The carrier was lauded for an upgrade it performed on Cyber Life.
Federated Life Insurance Company of Owatonna, Minn., won the Leadership in Information Technology Award for its implementation of the nbAccelerator that works in conjunction with Insurance Optics Business Analytics. The system is now able to perform onboarding applications, policy processing and other functions.
Lincoln Financial Group of Philadelphia won the Customer Experience Award for implementing a Customer Service Accelerator that provides reps with a streamlined, web-based application that interfaces with its administration systems.
American Family Insurance of Madison, Wis., won the Social Networking Award for formulating content to be used in CSC’s business-to-business social networking site.
Thirvent Financial for Lutherans, Appleton, Wis., and Allstate Insurance Company of Northbrook, Ill., received the Regulatory Compliance Award for their leadership in the compliance community.
