Handshake.This week in new hires, Atlanta Capital Group welcomed David McInnis and Richart Artzi; Wally Head went to Gresham; Jennifer Mitchell joined Tiedemann Wealth Management; Jeffrey Patterson and Rick Pucci became registered reps with Securities America; and Ben Marzouk joined Monroe Capital.

Also, Schroders welcomed four additions; Stephen Wagenbach joined Commonfund; Kerry Anne Murphy went to Eagle Asset Management; Citi Private Bank welcomed Michael Sak; and Denise Brinker was promoted at Allianz Life.

Atlanta Capital Group Adds Advisors

Atlanta Capital Group announced on May 1 that it has hired David McInnis and Richard Artzi as wealth management associates and high-net-worth consultants.

Richard ArtziArtzi (left) has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, first with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and most recently with CUNA Brokerage, where he was vice president, financial advisor and trust liaison officer.

David McInnisMcInnis (right) brings more than eight years of financial experience. He started his career at A.G. Edwards & Sons, and most recently was a senior consultant with Morgan Stanley where he headed business development initiatives and worked with corporate clients and individuals.

Tiedemann Wealth Management Appoints Jennifer Mitchell Managing Director

Tiedemann Wealth Management announced Tuesday that it has appointed Jennifer Mitchell as a managing director. Based in New York, she will report directly to Craig Smith, president.

With more than 20 years of experience in wealth management and financial services, Mitchell was most recently managing director at Barclays Wealth, where she focused on investment and wealth management services for ultra-high-net-worth clients and built a client base around self-made first-generation entrepreneurs and retired executives. Previously, as managing director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, she worked with a client base that included Forbes 400 families, CEOs and entrepreneurs. During her career, she has also held positions at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co.

Gresham Partners hires Wallace Head as Vice Chairman

Wally HeadIndependent wealth management firm Gresham Partners announced Monday that Wallace Head has joined the firm as vice chairman and principal. With a wealth management career spanning over three decades, he will lead strategic initiatives to grow the business, raise Gresham’s national visibility, and serve as a senior advisor to families and their related entities.

Prior to joining, Head was at the helm of Personal Fiduciary Advisors, which will become a subsidiary of Gresham. Earlier, he was executive managing director and CEO of wealth management at The PrivateBank and Trust Co., headquartered in Chicago, where he also served as a member of the executive committee and its board of directors and chairman of its trust committee. Previously, he was president of Family Office Exchange, a managing director of Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. and a tax partner and national director with Arthur Andersen & Co.

Securities America Welcomes Patterson, Pucci

Securities America announced Tuesday that the financial advisors Jeffrey Patterson and Rick Pucci have become registered representatives.

Patterson joined the financial services industry in 1995 and made the transition to the independent sector five years ago. He has more than $375,000 in annual revenue and $32 million in assets under management, and his business, Patterson Wealth Management, is located in Chesterfield, Mo.

Pucci spent 20 years in corporate finance before turning his attention to personal financial planning. He then worked for a large international wirehouse before moving to the independent sector to build his own independent financial service practice. He has $300,000 in annual revenue and $18 million in assets under management, and his business, Park Ridge Financial, is located in Park Ridge, Ill.

Monroe Capital Adds Marzouk as New York Region Group Head

Monroe Capital announced Tuesday that Ben Marzouk has joined the firm as managing director, New York region group head.

Marzouk came to Monroe from Praesidian Capital. Earlier, he was founder and partner of Mid-Market Credit Advisors; previously he spent seven years as a managing director at CIT Group. He also worked in global debt origination at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and held senior positions at Citigroup. He began his career at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Corp. in risk management review and corporate banking.

Schroders Appoints Four in EMD Relative Return Sector

Schroders announced May 2 it has appointed four senior professionals in the emerging-market debt (EMD) relative return sector. James Barrineau joined the New York office as head of Latin American fixed income and co-head of EMD relative (with Rajeev de Mello, head of Asian fixed income); Fernando Grisales came on as a senior portfolio manager and Alec Moseley as a senior portfolio manager and sovereign research analyst. Barrineau will report to Karl Dasher, global head of fixed income, and Grisales and Moseley will report to Barrineau. They join from Ice Canyon, a California-based global investment management firm specialising in emerging markets and global credit investment strategies. Previously, they worked together at AllianceBernstein.

In addition, Chris Tackney will join in June as senior portfolio manager, emerging market corporate bonds, reporting to Wes Sparks, head of U.S. fixed income. Prior to joining, he was an Asia credit trader at Credit Suisse, portfolio manager in the emerging-market credit fund at Black River Asset Management and emerging-markets portfolio manager at BlackRock Advisors. Commonfund Names Stephen Wagenbach Director Of Consultant Relations

Commonfund announced Tuesday the appointment of Stephen Wagenbach as director of consultant relations. Based in Wilton, Conn., he will cover the midwest region and report to Lou Ann Dolan, managing director and group head of consultant relations.

Since 2008, he managed consulting and intermediary relationships for Schroder Investment Management. He also spent four years with Investment Solutions and nearly five years with BARRA RogersCasey, a predecessor firm to Segal RogersCasey. Wagenbach began his career in corporate lending with Chase Manhattan Bank.

Eagle Asset Management Welcomes Kerry Anne Murphy as SVP

Eagle Asset Management announced May 3 that Kerry Anne Murphy has joined its institutional sales team as a senior vice president responsible for representing Eagle’s asset management strategies to consultants and prospective institutional investors. She is based in San Francisco and reports to Donald J. Pepin, director of institutional sales.

With extensive experience in institutional and consultant-related business development, Murphy previously held senior positions with BNY Asset Management, Oppenheimer Capital, Credit Suisse Asset Management and Ranieri Partners.

Michael Sak Joins Citi Private Bank Law Firm Group in Chicago

Citi Private Bank recently announced that Michael Sak has joined the firm’s Chicago office as vice president and law firm group private banker. He will report to Kerry L. Gibson, regional market manager for the law firm group’s western region.

Sak joins from JPMorgan Chase in Chicago, where he was most recently a vice president in the private wealth management group. He joined JPMorgan in 2001 and began his career in the infrastructure and operations group.

Allianz Life Promotes Denise Brinker

Allianz Life Insurance Co. of North America recently named Denise Brinker assistant vice president, learning and development. In this role, she will lead the learning and development center for more than 4,800 employees. She reports to Yvonne Franzese, senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Allianz of America.

Brinker joined in 1986 as an auditor and accounting manager. Since then, she has held positions as a director for both the training and operations divisions. Most recently she was senior director of learning and development and HR chief of staff.
