Romney and Health Care (Huffington Post)

It’s obvious that the health care system has some problems. Well, how would Mitt Romney, most likely to be the Republican presidential nominee, solve them? In the Los Angeles Times, Noam Levey wrote that Romney “would overhaul the way most Americans get their health coverage: at work.” Americans would receive a tax break to buy their own health plan. Competition among insurers would drive down costs and quality would go up. If the Affordable Care Act is struck down by the Supreme Court, Romney would have to adopt provisions that prevent insurers from denying patients with prior conditions. Otherwise, many people would only be able to afford lousy coverage. Romney’s plan, some say, is what a CEO would do, not a president.
