The 3in4 Association says the general interest press has been paying attention to the new 3in4 Need More public awareness campaign.
The 3in4 Association, Kirkland, Wash., will be putting Marion Somers and a bus on the road to promote the idea that Americans need to do a better job of planning for long-term care (LTC) needs.
During one recent 7-day period, the group put out a press release about the return of “Dr. Marion,” a geriatric care manager, to the seat of the bus through PR Newswire.
The association also gave an overwhelmed caregiver in Long Beach, Calif., a home makeover.
The ABC affiliate for Los Angeles and the CBS affiliate for Los Angeles have both aired segments on the home makeover on their newscasts.
A CBS affiliate in Long Beach ran a Web brief based on the home makeover, and the Long Beach Post and the Long Beach Gazette both ran items based on the story, the association says.
The Daily Breeze, the Long Beach Press-Telegram and LA Daily News appear to be getting ready to run coverage of the story May 10.
