Despite the gloomy headlines about the supply of long-term care insurance (LTCI), more than 1,000 people are buying the product every day.
Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance (AALTCI), Westlake Village, Calif., says he wants to spread the word that LTCI sales continues to represent a promising opportunity
AALTCI has set up an online career center aimed at individuals with an interest in starting full-time careers in LTCI sales or in making LTCI sales a sideline.
“Sales would be higher if there were more skilled people available to market the product,” Slome says in a statement.
The center is starting with a guide to entering the LTCI sales business, audio presentations aimed at new agents, and sales and marketing tips. An LTCI distribution jobs board is in the works.
