Conning Inc., today announced the appointment of Woody E. Bradford as Chief Executive Officer. Bradford, who will succeed Salvatore Correnti when the appointment takes effect on January 2, 2012, has been with Conning since early 2010.
Correnti will remain with Conning in an advisory capacity as Vice Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors.
Bradford, an industry veteran with over 15 years of experience in the investment and asset management industry has spearheaded an array of crucial initiatives for Conning including pioneering the company’s expansion into Asia by brokering a joint venture partnership with Cathay Financial Holdings. He also played an integral role in elevating Conning’s presence in Europe with his inception of a European Chief Investment Officer.
“The Board is delighted to name Woody as Chief Executive Officer and we look forward to helping him realize the vision that we share for Conning. Woody has a long record of success in this industry including his work at Conning over the last two years. The board and I believe that he is the right leader to move Conning to the next stage of its development,” said Jeff Greenberg, Chairman of Conning and Chief Executive of Aquiline Capital.
