New York Life Increases LTCI Sales

New York Life Insurance Company increased sales of long-term care insurance (LTCI) to $6.8 million in the third quarter, up from 24% from the total for the third quarter of 2010.

Total sales for the first 3 quarters increased 23%, to $21 million, according to New York Life, New York.

LTCI sales rose along with sales of other products.

For the first 3 quarters, individual lives sales are 10% higher than for the comparable period in 2010. Fixed immediate annuity sales increased 23%, and mutual sales were up 79%.
