New Hire Roundup: Nash Moves Up at Fiserv; Sanctuary to Support Gordian

This week in new hires, Cheryl Nash was named president of Fiserv’s investment services division; Gordian Wealth Advisors hired Sanctuary Wealth Services to support its business; and Tom Ridge became a member of the board at FSIC.

Also, Adrian Gray joined Clear Harbor and Gary Rudnicki was named head of recruiting for Jackson National Life Insurance.

Fiserv Names Cheryl Nash President of Investment Services

Cheryl Nash, FiservFiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV) announced Nov. 9 that Cheryl Nash (left) has been named president of its investment services division. She began her career as one of the first employees at Security APL, later CheckFree Investment Services, which was acquired by Fiserv in December 2007. With 28 years of service with investment services at Fiserv, she brings a strong track record of industry leadership, technology expertise and commitment to serving clients to this role.

Nash was the 2009 recipient of the Money Management Institute’s (MMI) prestigious Pioneer Award, which embodies MMI’s mission to serve as an advocate and catalyst for growth in the managed accounts and wealth management industry. Nash has also served as co-chair of MMI’s technology and operations committee, which supports industry growth across managed accounts.

Gordian Wealth Advisors Joins Sanctuary Wealth Services

Britt Doyle, Gordian Wealth AdvisorsNewly formed Gordian Wealth Advisors announced Nov. 10 that it has hired Sanctuary Wealth Services to support its business. Gordian, launched by Britt Doyle (left) and Elliott Elbaz, works with individuals, families, technology executives and business owners to provide wealth management solutions. Doyle has more than 23 years of wealth management experience, most recently with UBS.

Gordian Wealth Advisors develops customized solutions for wealth creators with complex financial needs, including concentrated stock positions and multiple business entities. Gordian works with individuals, families, technology executives and business owners.

SanctuaryElliott Elbaz, Gordian Wealth Advisors will provide services ranging from marketing and compliance to back office services and strategic business consulting. Gordian is the sixth firm to join its network.

Elbaz (left) has 21 years of investment management experience for institutional and individual clients, and was most recently with investment bank FBR. Earlier in his career, Elbaz was with Wells Fargo Securities, the Chatterjee Group, an affiliate of Soros Fund Management, and Bain & Co.

FSIC Announces Appointment of Tom Ridge to Board

FS Investment Corp. (FSIC) announced Nov. 8 the appointment of Tom Ridge as a new member of its board of directors, effective immediately. The former governor of Pennsylvania and the first secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Ridge is currently president and CEO of Ridge Global, an international security and risk management advisory firm headquartered in Washington, D.C.

In addition, he serves on the boards of Brightpoint, Inc, Exelon Corp., The Hershey Company, the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress, and since 2005, has served as chairman of the National Organization on Disability and co-chairman of the Flight 93 National Memorial Fundraising Campaign.

Adrian Gray Joins Clear Harbor Asset Management Team

Clear Harbor Asset Management, LLC announced Nov. 8 that Adrian Gray has joined as vice president. In this newly created position, he will serve on the investment committee to provide guidance on public policy and regulatory affairs. Additionally, he will oversee the firm’s efforts in business development, marketing and investor relations.

Most recently, Gray served as president of Network Relations, a public policy advisory firm whose clients ranged from professional sports teams to Fortune 500 firms to the alternative investment community. Starting in 2008, he also worked for T. Boone Pickens in Dallas on energy policy; he also spent eight years working for former President George W. Bush, including three years in the White House.

Gary Rudnicki Named Head of Recruiting for Jackson

Gary Rudnicki, Jackson National LifeJackson National Life Insurance Co. announced Tuesday that it has appointed Gary Rudnicki (left) head of recruiting. In this new role, he will have responsibility for the firm’s nationwide talent acquisition initiatives. He will continue to be based in Lansing, Mich., at the company’s national headquarters, and will report to Jim Sopha, Jackson’s chief operating officer.

Rudnicki previously held the position of assistant vice president of IT automation systems at Jackson, where he was responsible for various technology initiatives and oversaw the company’s IT recruiting programs, targeting top students at select universities across the country. He has worked for Jackson for 16 years and has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.
