Primerica Plans to Teach Its Team About Annuities (InvestmentNews)

In preparation of the launch of its first fixed index annuity product, Primerica Inc. is educating its employees — all 82,000 of them — about the complexities of the product. About 15,000 staff members are Series 6 and 63 certified, meaning they understand mutual funds and variable annuities, including their regulation and suitability standards. The remaining reps will require thorough training on the heightened state suitability standards around indexed annuities. The effort will include the use of roadshows and in-person training in conjunction with Lincoln Financial Distributors Inc, who is partnering with Primerica on the product.
