Combined Insurance has been recognized for its hiring of veterans by being named Most Valuable Employer by CivilianJobs.com as well being awarded Best Military Recruiting Program by Onrec.com.

Combined Insurance, Glenview Ill., a provider of individual supplemental accident, disability, health and life insurance products is part of the ACE Group of Companies.

Ashley Harmon, manager for military resume’s .com , a sister company of CivilianJobs.com, a service provider to American companies seeking military experienced talent said, “Combined travels to many military hiring fairs that we put on and they are really going out and actively looking to recruit veterans.”

Likewise, Combined’s Best Military Recruiting Program award by Onrec.com, the human resources and recruiting firm, cemented its standing as a company that views the character and attributes of men and women who have served in the military as an asset to their workforce.

Combined Insurance instituted a military veteran council of employees throughout the country that guides new veteran hires through the transition from military to the business world. And last year, Combined Insurance hired Joseph Pennington, A U.S. Navy Veteran to recruit from the military. Since then, the company has hired over 100 military veterans.

Doug Wendt, president of Combined Insurance said in statement, “Veterans are high potential candidates because they possess the qualities we look for… discipline, ambition and commitment.”
