The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, with a more than 164-year-old history of serving veterans and their families, recently signed a Statement of Support for the National Guard and Reserve.
Earlier this year, Penn Mutual announced a $2.5 million gift over five years to build the nation’s first Center for Veterans Affairs at The American College, a non-profit school that specializes in the insurance industry. Beginning in 2012, the Center for Veterans Affairs will train veterans for a career in the life insurance industry.
“Penn Mutual takes pride in American military service and has great respect and loyalty for the men and women in every branch of our armed forces,” said Eileen McDonnell, President and CEO of Penn Mutual. “We are honored to sign this statement of support for the National Guard and Reserves, and will work hard to continue to train and employ veterans who have given so much of themselves to our country.”
