Philip E. Goodman, principal at Comprehensive Planning Goodman, has been named the 2011 Paul Goodman Award recipient.

Established in 1998 by William Penn Life Insurance Company of New York, the award is given to a person who reflects the innovative spirit and commitment to the brokerage distribution system exhibited by the late Paul Goodman, the company’s former president and Phil’s dad.

Phil has been in the insurance business since 1973 and has worked with William Penn since 1974. In 1980, he was promoted to assistant vice president and pension director with the company. And in 1982, he started his own agency.

At the ceremony, Phil gave an emotional tribute to his father and accepted the award’s antique silver bowl.
