Allianz Life President Joins Chamber Board

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has picked Gary Bhojwani to be one of its directors.

Bhojwani, president of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, Golden Valley, Minn., a unit of Allianz S.E., Munich, is joining the board of an organization that represents about 3 million U.S. businesses.

Bhojwani began working for Allianz Life, which has about 2,000 U.S.-based employees, in 2007.

Bhojwani has a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in business from the University of Chicago. He is on the boards of the Insured Retirement Institute, Washington, and the American Council of Life Insurers, Washington.
