Personnel Changes: Lockton, The Vitality Group, Symetra, Others

Lockton Companies, LLC, Washington, has hired Steve Conger to be vice president and producer of its brokerage team based in Washington, D.C.

Conger previously was area vice president for Arthur J. Gallagher’s Maryland office.

Conger has a bachelor’s degree in business management from North Carolina State University.

The Vitality Group, Chicago has named Tom Lerche to be senior vice president of the company.

Lerche previously was senior vice president at Aon Hewitt, Lincolnshire, Ill, where he was responsible for Aon’s health exchange initiatives and the development wellness and employee engagement strategies.

Lerche has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in health care administration from the University of Wisconsin.

In other personnel news,

Symetra Life Insurance Company, Bellevue, Wash., has hired Lora Lyons to be head of the claims operation for its group life and disability income insurance business.

Lyons previously was assistant vice president of program service delivery at Zurich American Insurance Company, N.Y.

Lyons, also a registered nurse earned her associate’s degree in nursing from the State University of New York, Westchester.

Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), Park Ridge Ill., an international, independent association for life insurance and financial service professionals has named Jennifer A. Borislow, CLU, of Borislow Insurance Agency, Methuen, Mass., to be its new president for 2011-2012 effective September 1, 2011.

Borislow succeeds Julian H. Good Jr., CLU, ChFC, of MetLife/ Creative Solutions, New Orleans, who will have completed his five-year term as past president.

Borislow will be responsible for continuing to offer growth opportunities through products and services that will allow MDRT members to better serve their clients.

Borislow has been a member of MDRT for 23 years and has served its executive committee for four years. She has also received top honor awards from the organization multiple times.
