Computer Sciences Corp. is trying to help insurance agents manage their agencies through a “cloud-based” system that can be reached from a wide variety of different devices and systems.
The subscription-based service will start by offering communications tools, including electronic application submission tools, and it later will offer commission management, customer service and customer self-service tools, according to CSC, Falls Church, Va. (NYSE:CSC).
Agencies should be able to get to the system through tablets and hand-held devices as well as through desktop and laptop computers, without downloading software, CSC says.
