Leading industry professionals gathered at The American College’s Knowledge Summit recently to discuss the industry’s future and recognize colleagues, including Joseph W. Jordan (right), who received the college’s Celebration Bowl from Larry Barton, president and CEO of the American College.

Jordan, MetLife’s senior vice president for behavioral finance strategies, presented at the summit, and all attendees received a complimentary copy of his book, “Living a Life of Significance.” He received the Celebration Bowl in honor of his distinguished service on behalf of The American College.

Also honored at the event was Salvatore F. Farina, MSM, CLU, ChFC, CLF, who was inducted in The American College’s Alumni Hall of Fame. He’s the seventh inductee to receive the honor, which recognizes individuals who have made extraordinary contributions of time, effort and energy to the school.

The summit, which took place June 9 to 11 in Las Vegas, included the college’s 82nd commencement ceremony, with a keynote speech by Michael C. Davidson, CLU, chairman of the college’s board of trustees and vice chairman and chief agency and marketing officer for State Farm.
