“Dr. Towle is an exceptional addition to the HighTower partnership, delivering 28 years of experience in the financial industry across numerous senior positions,” said HighTower Partner and Managing Director Matthias Kuhlmey, head of HighTower’s GIS division. “In addition, she brings with her a client base that includes more than $1 billion of wealthy family and institutional assets under management.”

The GIS committee oversees the firm’s broad investment capabilities, including traditional and alternative investment offerings, investment consulting and research.

At Greycourt, Towle oversaw research and development across traditional and alternative asset classes. She also served a two-year term as a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) board of directors, and is a former chair of the IMCA Advisory Council and member of IMCA’s Investments & Wealth Monitor editorial advisory board.

In 2009, Towle was named as one of Bloomberg WealthManager’s Top Women in Wealth. In addition, she was profiled in Boomer Market Advisor in 2009.

Prior to joining Greycourt, Towle served as chief investment officer of Northern Trust Global Advisors. She holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) designation and earned her B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Washington-Seattle. She completed post-graduate work in quantitative methods at the University of Michigan, as well as risk management courses in the executive education program at the University of Chicago’s Booth Graduate School of Business.
