Arthur J. Gallagher & Company has acquired Group Benefits of Arkansas L.L.C.

Gallagher, Itasca, Ill. (NYSE:AJG), is not saying how much it is paying for Group Benefits of Arkansas, Fort Smith, Ark.

Group Benefits of Arkansas was founded in 2004. It offers employee benefits consulting and brokerage services for midsize employers in Arkansas and Oklahoma. The company has been especially active in designing and selling health saving account plans, health reimbursement arrangement plans and cafeteria plans.

Andy Jackson and Ron Novak, the current managers of the business, and their employees will be staying with Gallagher in their current offices, Gallagher says.
