Schlesinger Takes Lead at NAHU

Mel Schlesinger has succeeded Steve Selinsky as president of the National Association of Health Underwriters.

Bruce Benton is the new president-elect, according to NAHU, Arlington, Va.

Schlesinger, a former vacuum cleaner salesman, has been a voluntary dental distributor and a sales trainer. In 2008, he started a wellness firm.

Schlesinger has been a president of local and state NAHU chapters.

Benton is a partner at Genesis Financial & Insurance Services, Tarzana, Calif. Like Schlesinger, he has been president of NAHU chapters at the local level and state level.

The other NAHU national officers are Thomas Harte of Chester, N.H., vice president; Ryan Thorn of South Jordan, Utah, treasurer; Donald Goldmann of Orange, Calif., secretary; and Selinsky of Farmington Hills, Mich., Ga., immediate past president.
