First American's Josh O'Gara earns ChFC

Josh O'GaraJosh O’Gara, CLU, a brokerage manager at First American Insurance Underwriters in Needham, Mass., recently passed his qualifying tests for the Chartered Financial Consultant, or ChFC, designation.

“We congratulate Josh on receiving this important recognition because it means he has demonstrated his vast and thorough knowledge of financial planning,” says Kenneth A. Shapiro, First American’s president. “It further enhances his capabilities in working with our insurance agents.”

O’Gara has been with First American since 2008, when he joined in a sales support position. He was promoted to brokerage manager in 2010 and works with insurance agents in life insurance, annuities, disability insurance and long-term care insurance.

O’Gara holds a bachelor’s in economics from St. Lawrence University and received his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation from the American College in 2010.
