The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking bidders that can help develop and expand workplace health promotion programs.
HHS is using $10 million from the Prevention and Public Health Fund created by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA) to pay for the contracts.
HHS officials are looking for an organization that can address nutrition, tobacco use and physical activity concerns at small and large worksites throughout the United States.
The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will oversee the wellness effort.
