Robert Dzik is the new president of the American Prepaid Legal Services Institute (API).
Dzik is assistant general counsel at Hyatt Legal Plans, Cleveland, a unit of MetLife Inc., New York (NYSE:MET), that provides legal services to 2 million members through a network of about 5,550 law firms.
The API is an affiliate of the American Bar Association, Chicago.
Dzik has been the secretary, treasurer and president-elect of the API. He has a law degree from Cleveland State University and was an attorney in private practice before going to work for Hyatt Legal Plans in 1996.
