New Hire Roundup: Janney Hires Fetyko, RBC Appoints Rajput, JHS Capital Adds Mullins

In new hires so far in June, Richard Fetyko has come to Janney Capital Markets and Sanjeev K. Rajput joined RBC, while JHS Capital welcomed Michael Mullins to the firm. Also, First American Trust named Kimberly Dwan Bernatz senior vice president; Bracewell & Giuliani added Glen Eichelberger and Brian Teaff; Resource Real Estate welcomed Van Standke; and the IRS added 10 new staffers to its Advisory Committee on Tax Exempt and Government Entities.

Janney Montgomery Deepens Equity Research With Senior Internet Analyst Richard Fetyko

Janney Capital Markets announced on June 7 that it has hired Richard Fetyko as a director in equity research in New York. Fetyko is an analyst of internet infrastructure and software companies, and will work closely with analysts Shawn Milne and Tony Wible as a member of the firm’s internet, media and infrastructure effort.

Fetyko joins Janney from Merriman Capital, where he served as managing director, equity research. In that role, he maintained coverage of the internet, media and infrastructure marketplace, with a specific focus on small- to mid-cap providers. With over 15 years of industry experience, Fetyko was ranked second in ratings performance in the internet software and service space by StarMine in 2010, and has been recognized by The Wall Street Journal as a “Best on the Street Analyst” in both 2007 and 2008.

RBC Appoints Sanjeev Rajput as Senior Vice President of Advisor Services

RBC Advisor Services announced June 1 that Sanjeev K. Rajput has joined the firm as a senior vice president. Rajput will be responsible for all aspects of new business development for RBC Advisor Services.

Rajput brings 13 years of experience in the financial services industry. Previously, he was vice president of sales, institutional wealth services, at Fidelity Investments, where he was responsible for developing new custody and brokerage services business relationships with RIAs. He also formerly held positions of vice president; relationship manager; sales executive in the national customers group at Pershing, LLC—The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation; and trust officer at The Northern Trust Company.

JHS Capital Advisors Expands Advisor Team With Michael Mullins

Tampa, Florida-based JHS Capital Advisors announced recently that Michael Mullins has joined as a financial advisor, bringing more than 25 years of financial service experience to the JHS advisor team.

Mullins specializes in responsible and sustainable investing, with experience in helping investors implement socially conscious investment strategies. Prior to JHS Capital Advisors, he was an advisor at RBC Wealth Management. Based in Bloomington, Minn., he was a featured advisor in 2011 by the Minneapolis Business Journal.

First American Trust Names Kimberly Dwan Bernatz as Senior V.P.

First American Trust announced June 2 that Kimberly Dwan Bernatz has been named senior vice president. In this role, Bernatz will serve as the director of wealth management sales and marketing for the trust company and oversee the team of wealth management advisors and all business development and marketing initiatives.

Bernatz has been with First American for 10 years. Previously she has served as vice president, wealth management advisor. In that role, she was responsible for working with

high-net-worth individuals, families and foundations on investment management, trust and overall financial planning needs. Prior to joining First American, Bernatz served in a similar capacity as vice president of business development at Northern Trust Company in Newport Beach, Calif.

Bracewell & Giuliani Grows Its Wealth Management Practice

Bracewell & Giuliani LLP announced June 6 that partner Glen Eichelberger and associate Brian Teaff, both formerly of Fulbright & Jaworski, have joined the firm’s Houston office in its wealth management practice.

Eichelberger focuses on trust, estate and philanthropic planning and administration for high-net-worth clients. Previously, he served as a director at Merrill Lynch, where he was lead national relationship manager for Merrill Lynch’s family office services, a division of Merrill Lynch’s private banking and investment group. He is a former chairman of the Houston Bar Association’s probate, trust and estates section.

Teaff focuses on wealth management issues and counsels clients in a variety of tax and non-tax related matters.

Resource Real Estate Adds Standke

Resource Real Estate announced on Tuesday that Van Standke has joined the companyas managing director of business development; in that role, he will help drive business outcomes and strategic partnerships and further the firm’s relationship development initiatives within the independent broker-dealer community.

Standke comes to Resource Real Estate from the investment products department of LincolnFinancial Network (CIGNA Financial Advisors), where he was responsible for marketing, sales support and due diligence of investment products offered by the company, including broker dealer offerings and alternative investments. Highlights of his career include being involved with the development of CIGNA’s financial planning process, and later, the real estate limited partnership business at the company. All told, he has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.

IRS Names 10 New Members to Advisory Committee on Tax Exempt and Government Entities

The Internal Revenue Service on June 7 announced the selection of 10 new members to the Advisory Committee on Tax Exempt and Government Entities (ACT). The ACT consists of external stakeholders and representatives who deal with employee retirement plans, tax-exempt organizations, tax-exempt bonds and federal, state, local and Indian tribal governments.

The ACT meets periodically and will submit a report to the agency on June 15 at a public meeting. ACT members generally serve a two-year term with a possible one-year extension. The 10 new participants join 11 returning members. The new members are:
