Guardian Life Insurance Company has named Ryan Clark the winner of its Be a Guardian Hero Incentive Referral Rewards Program. Clark, pictured at center, received a $10,000 check from David Simkowitz, Guardian’s field executive committee president, at left, and Don Sullivan, Guardian’s senior vice president, agency distribution, at right, to give to the charity of his choice.

The program rewards employees who refer qualified people to join the Guardian sales team and generates hundreds of prospective employees for the company. Clark, who lives in Salt Lake City, will give his winnings to the nonprofit American Heritage School & Family Education Center.

The program’s second- and third-place winners also received $5,000 each to give to a local charity. Runner-up Thomas Sherman of Rye Brook, N.Y., will donate his money to the Carol K. Pforzheimer & Alison A. Sherman Fund. Third-place finisher Charles Jackson of Dallas is giving his prize money to Hill County Paw Pals Inc.

“The Be a Guardian Hero Program is an inventive way to not only grow our team and create opportunities for qualified individuals, but to support the local communities we serve through job creation and giving back to those who need us most,” Sullivan says. “I’m incredibly proud of the great success this program has achieved in its short life and am very encouraged by the contributions it will create in the years to come.”
