Matthew J. Rettick is hosting a new web-based financial advice show called Checks and Balances TV.

Rettick, a financial advisor and industry consultant, explores financial headlines on the show and explains what the news means for consumers. The show also includes on-the-street segments, where consumers share their money fears, and humorous skits that include personal finance lessons.

The show airs every Wednesday at 4 p.m., EST, at Visitors to the site can also watch previous episodes on demand and access free financial tools, reports and tips.

“Our goal is to teach the public how to ‘check’ facts and ‘balance’ information to better understand what current financial headlines mean to them and empower them to make informed financial decisions,” Rettick says. “I hope that advisors will come to rely on Checks and Balances TV as an unbiased source of information to refer their clients to learn about a financial topic.”
