Universal life and whole life sold well at the worksite in 2010, according to Eastbridge Consulting Group Inc.
Eastbridge, Avon, Conn., has reported that finding in a summary of results from a survey of 64 insurers that write voluntary, employee-paid group products; worksite products – individual products sold at the worksite; or both voluntary and worksite products.
Overall voluntary and worksite life sales increased to about $1.3 billion in 2010, up 1.5% from the 2009 total, Eastbridge says.
Term life sales fell 1%, to about $930 million.
