Bill Stouten, a Thrivent Financial for Lutherans portfolio manager, will be one of the participants in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) discussion on money market funds and systemic risk.

The SEC plans to post live video of the money market fund risk discussion on the Web.

The hearing is set to start at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Stouten manages money market fund portfolios at Thrivent, Minneapolis, which is a large fraternal insurer.

Many of the other participants will be regulators or money managers at companies known mainly for their mutual fund or securities operations.
