Strategies for reducing non-emergency use of emergency rooms will be the focus of an upcoming Senate hearing.
The primary health and aging subcommittee at the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee plans to hold the ER care management hearing at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The witness list includes James Macrae, an official at the Bureau of Primary Care at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; Debra Draper, a director at the U.S. Government and Accountability Office; and Peter Cunningham, a senior fellow at the Center for Studying Health System Change, Washington.
