A company that has been busy buying health insurance brokerage businesses is starting to sell disability, critical illness and accidental injury policies aimed at small and midsize employers.

Digital Insurance Inc., Atlanta, says the new ancillary benefits program will provide features such as guaranteed issue underwriting options usually available only to larger employers.

Digital Insurance will be getting disability products from Unum Group Corp., Chattanooga, Tenn. (NYSE:UNM), and critical illness and accidental injury products from Transamerica Life Insurance Company, a unit of AEGON N.V., The Hague, Netherlands;
