The Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education (LIFE) is once again promoting life insurance by sponsoring a Life Lessons Scholarship Program contest.

LIFE, Arlington, Va., will award a total of 59 scholarships to young adults ages 17 to 24 who have faced the death of a parent or legal guardian and are currently enrolled or been accepted into a college or trade school.

The scholarships will range in value from $1,000 to $10,000.

To enter, eligible students must submit a 500-word essay or a 3-minute video describing how the death of a parent or guardian has affected them financially and emotionally.

“Through the LIFE Lessons Scholarship Program, we’re able to help deserving young people in difficult situations fulfill their dream of higher education and realize their full potential,” says Marvin Feldman president of the LIFE Foundation.
