MedAmerica has launched FlexCare, a long-term care (LTC) insurance product now available in three states.
FlexCare is a traditional reimbursement policy with an optional monthly cash benefit. MedAmerica has previously specialized in cash-benefit products, which pay a specified daily amount, regardless of actual expenses. Reimbursement coverage pays for long-term care expenses actually incurred, up to a designated monetary limit.
FlexCare will be sold exclusively through AIMS Benefits Solutions, a marketing services administrator based in Montgomery, Ala., that sells LTC insurance through independent managing general agents and marketing organizations.
