New York Life sponsors UConn women's record-breaking game

New York Life Insurance Company executives celebrated a season-long sponsorship of the University of Connecticut’s men’s and women’s basketball programs and sponsorship of the historic game, where the UConn women defeated Florida State, 93 to 62, at the XL Center.

This gives the women Huskies 89 consecutive wins and the all-time record for consecutive wins by a Division I college basketball team. Previously, this 36-year-old record was held by the UCLA men’s basketball team that won 88 consecutive games from 1971-74.
